Foolish Fun

It's April Fool's Day! :) Which means todays post is all about the tricks you can play on your friends and family. (Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was gone all day. I did post an Easter post on Six Faraway Friends though.)

1. Pull a fast one on your brother or sister! If any drawers in your sibling's dresser or desk are the same size, pull them out and put them back in different spots.

2. Tiptoe into your sibling's bedroom and head for his or her sock drawer. Take apart all the pairs of socks, roll them up as unmatched pairs, and put the socks back in the drawer.

3. This trick is good, clean fun. Sneak into the shower and unscrew the cap of a flip-top shampoo bottle. Cover the top of the bottle with a small piece of plastic wrap, and then screw the top back on. When someone flips the lid to get a squirt of shampoo, nothing will come out!

4. Try this paper caper: Unwrap four or five feet of a roll of toilet tissue. Starting at least two feet from the end, use a marker or ball-point pen to write funny messages on some of the sheets. Try, "Help! I'm trapped in a toilet paper factory!" or "Don't forget to flush!" Neatly roll up the TP.

5. When outside with friends or family, point up to the sky and say, "Wow! Look at that!" See how many people you can fool into looking at absolutely nothing.

6. Draw a smudge on your face with a washable marker or eyebrow pencil. Then wait for your friends to say, "Uh, you have something on your cheek." When they do, smile and say, "Yeah, right. I'm not falling for that old trick. Today's April Fool's Day!" The more your friends insist, the more you should deny it. See how long it takes them to figure out you're in on the joke!

7. Make your money funny! Tell a friend to stand with her heels flat against a wall, then put a dollar bill on the floor about one foot in front of her. Tell her that if she can lean over and pick up the bill without bending her knees or moving her feet, he can have it. Don't worry - your cash is safe. Your friend won't be able to do it without falling over!

8. Blow up a balloon and hold the end closed, but don't tie it. Open an often-used door in your house and wedge the pinched end of the balloon into the latch, with the balloon hanging inside the shut door. The next person to open the door will get wind of your silly surprise.

Do you think you'll try any of these? Comment the result!

Have a great day! :)
