If You Met Me...

Happy Friday! :)

I was inspired by other bloggers to do this...

If you met me...

...you would know that I am quiet

...but can also be loud and obnoxious

...you would know that I am an avid reader

...you would know that I am an writer as well

...you would know that I love animals, especially horses and cats

...you would know that I have a compassionate heart for those less fortunate than me

...you would know that I love to sing, on stage and in my room

...you would know that I love history

...you would know that I love scarves, headbands, and hats

...you would know that I love blogging (of course!)

...you would know that I love taking photos of nature, my dolls, and my dog

...you would know that I love to laugh (and when I'm most comfortable I often can't stop laughing!)

...you would know that I care about my hair way to much :)

...you would know that I don't have to wear makeup to feel beautiful

...you would know that I love to daydream

...you would know that I have traveled around the world

...you would know that I love to swim (in lakes and pools, not the ocean) and that sometimes pretend I am a mermaid :)

...and you would know that I love God and my family with all my heart <3

AGMarket Was Here! :)

Well, I figured out how to delete some pictures, so that gave some room for today's post...

Argh! :P

I'm really sorry everyone, but I think I'll need to take another little break. According to Google, I can't upload any more pictures on my blogs because I have run out of space. :( And I have this awesome full-of-pictures post I really wanted to share with you! In order to get more room for more pictures, I'll have to pay about $2.50 a month. I could pay it, but it would be a waste. So, I'll get back to you soon and will (hopefully) be able to find out how get more room!

Updates!

Hi guys! :) AGMarket and I have created a new blog called Uniquely Me. (All bout healthy eating and fun, easy recipes.) It's mostly AGMarket's, I just help contribute from time to time. But I'd love if you still visited it and even followed here. It's still a work in progress.

Also, even though we don't quite have 75 followers, I still really want to do a giveaway - and soon. So be sure to look out for that coming up! :)

Have a good night!

Felicity's Story

It's Monday again...but I'm on Thanksgiving break! :) Yeah! Sorry, some of you are probably still in school until Wednesday. :P Now onto Felicity...

Hi! This is Felicity. :) Today's post is a short fictional story I wrote about myself traveling through time...

“C’mon, Elizabeth! I’ll race you to the river!” I call over my shoulder.
My best friend, Elizabeth, is desperately trying to catch up with me. Only it’s too bad I have the fastest Thoroughbred in all of Virginia.
“You can do it, Penny.” I whisper.
Penny gallops even faster, filling me with sense of happiness. This was what I was meant to do.
I am absolutely in love with horses of all kinds, and I am so glad Grandfather had let me keep my beloved Penny.
“Felicity Merriman, you know this isn’t fair!” Elizabeth calls, several leagues behind. “I haven’t nearly had as much experience as you have.”
Reluctantly, I slow Penny’s pace, but only a little. Elizabeth is catching up, and quickly.
“You can do it, Lizzie!” I encourage her. “You still have a chance, we’re not even halfway there yet!”
“You better rephrase those words, Lissie. Because I’m about to pass you up!”
I gape as Elizabeth, true to her word, passes me up, grinning madly. Her horse, Honey, is a pretty Arabian mare, and all white.
Penny, refusing to be beaten, puts on an extra burst of speed. We are now neck-and-neck.
The woods fly by us, and we come to a clearing. The river is just 100 feet ahead of us. Determined to win, I kick Penny one last time and we soar across the field. Victory is in our reach! But right as Penny is about to jump the river, something strange happens...

* * * * *

Everything goes white and fuzzy, and when I finally clear my head of the stuff, I realize I’m not in the clearing anymore. I look around. In front of me are a small farm and a road beyond it. Towering mountains are to my left and a forest lies behind me. What on earth just happened? Am I even in Virginia anymore? Maybe I can ask someone for directions, I think, and hope someone is home.
I lead Penny towards the house. As I reach the backyard, a girl about my age walks out the back door, humming to herself.
I am totally not prepared for the outfit she is wearing. First of all, breeches! Her mother actually lets her wear breeches! I am so jealous. And her shirt is so odd I do nothing but stare. I’ve never seen anything like it. It is very colorful and has a picture of a horse on it. How did her mother do that? Her shoes are also the strangest things I’ve ever seen. Nothing like what I’m wearing.
She stops when she sees me. She looks my riding outfit up and down with a confused expression on her face. How rude.
“Excuse me, miss, but could you please tell me where I am?” I ask, politely.
“Um, Kansas?” she replies with an accent.
Could I be in an entirely different country?
I panic for a split second. How can this be?
I try again. “Pardon me, but where is Kansas located?”
She looks even more surprised then before.
“Um, the United States?” she says as if it’s obvious.
But to my knowledge, there is absolutely no state of Kansas in the United States.
“You must be mistaken, miss. To my knowledge there is no state of Kansas. Not yet, that is. So far there are only thirteen states – ” I stop when I realize what I just said. Was it possible that I had gone into the future? Now I was really worried.
“Miss?” I ask again. “Could you please tell me what year it is?”
This seemed to blow her off the edge completely. Dumfounded she replies, “It’s 2012. July 4, 2012.”
I nearly fall off Penny. I couldn’t believe I had gone so far into the future. How was I going to get back? What would my family say when Elizabeth returned claiming I had vanished into thin air?
The girl looks at me with a worried expression on her freckled face.
“Are you alright? Should I call someone?”
I shake my head, too astonished to speak. What was I going to do? Where was I going to go?
Penny fidgets and paws the ground, impatiently.
“Well, at least let me get your horse some water. She’s a mighty fine animal,” the girl offers.
I had enough sense to say yes. I quickly hop off Penny and follow the girl to the barn. She pours some water into a trough, and Penny immediately drops her head and drinks.
“Thank you,” I say.
“Your welcome. My name’s Anna by the way,” she says, smiling.
“Hello. I’m Felicity, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Why do you do that?” Anna asks.
“What do you mean?” I reply.
“Talk all proper and stuff. And what on earth are you wearing?”
What horrible English.
Offended, I say, “How rude of you! What happened to the people of 2012 with their English lessons and manners?”
“What do you mean the people of 2012? Do you expect me to believe that you’re from another era? It would certainly explain your outfit.”
“Well, it’s true,” I retort. “It’s supposed to be July 4, 1776, but somehow I got sent forward in time and so that’s why I’m dressed in this outfit and have no idea where I am!”
I was getting myself all worked up, which Mother would not approve of. So, calming myself down, I say, “I apologize about my outburst. I’m just really uncomfortable with the situation. I wish I were home.”
I sit down on the ground, feeling miserable. Anna sits down next to me.
“So, is it true that you are from,” Anna says, cautiously. “The past?”
I look her in the eye and reply, “Yes.”
“Whoa.”
All was quiet for a few moments, except for Penny drinking and the birds chirping. The world as I knew it was the same, yet very different. If I was to stay here awhile, I should probably stay with Anna for a bit and learn all I could. Otherwise, I’d be a wandering freak who didn’t know anything about the modern world.
But then, Anna breaks the silence and exclaims, “Of course!”
I turn towards her. “Of course, what?” I ask.
Anna stands and I stand with her.
“If you entered the modern world through the woods, you must be able to return somehow, right?”
“Right,” I agree, but not fully understanding what she was getting at.
“You entered through a time-traveling portal in my backyard, which means there must be a return portal nearby. Once we find it, you’ll be back to your time in no time! No pun intended.” She smiles and starts walking towards the woods.
Still confused, I follow her, bringing Penny with me. I only hope her modern-world mind is correct.

What do you think? Do you like it so far?

Thanks,

P.S. Have a great week! :) I can't wait to see AGMarket tomorrow!
