It's all about me... or is it?
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
~ 1 Corinthians 10:31 ~
When you accomplish something and people praise you or thank you, how do you respond? Do you respond by saying thank you so much, or I know it turned out great, or do you respond with saying, God is so good, or I couldn't have done it without Christ?
Today's verse takes it even a little bit farther, it says whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. If I were to have a guess at what your whatever would be I would say, whether you do your homework, or hang out with friends, do it all for the glory of God. Whether you clean your room or help your mom with chores, do it all for the glory of God.
When we do things we first need to think if they will bring glory to God, and then when it is finished, we need to remember that it was done for the glory of God and give Him accomplishments, or being selfish with our time and actions, wouldn't it be better to do what glorifies God? Then when we make that decision, do we have any right to steal that glory from Him and keep it to ourselves?
The real credit goes to God.
Reflection: Are you taking credit that rightly belongs to God?
Application step: Today when someone thanks you or congratulates you, give the glory to God.
Have a great day! :)
