Reading: Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. Oh my goodness, I love this book to pieces! The way she writes is just... perfect. <3 Her other novel is also amazing! :)
Eating: Nutella! :D
Drinking: Apple Juice <3
Feeling: Sick. Overwhelmed. Annoyed. Confused. And sick. :P
There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms ail be proclaimed from the housetops.
~ Luke 12:2-3 ~
I don't know about you, but when I read those verses it just makes me stop and think: what have I said that I don't want others to know about. We need to remember these verses. We need to apply them to everything that comes out of our mouths. Maybe, if we don't want to shout it from the roof top we shouldn't say it at all.
You know how sometimes we say things (or write them in notes to our friends), and then someone wasn't supposed to hear it, comes and asks us about it. Maybe our mom and dad, or someone at school, and we are totally embarrassed or in trouble. It would have been much wiser not to say it in the first place. If we don't want others to know, we need to keep it to ourselves.
Secrets can be so fun and mysterious, but they are also a risk. Even if we trust our friends, they trust others too. I don't know if you have ever seen the movie Mean Girls, but it portraits that really well. She never meant to hurt anyone, but when it came out, she realized that she shouldn't have said nor done things that she didn't want others to know about.
We need to remember that. If we don't want it to be proclaimed from the housetops, then we need to not say it at all.
Reflection: Do you say or do things that you want to be kept a secret from others? Are they really important enough to be worth everyone else finding out?
Application step: As you go about your day today, don't do anything that you wouldn't want the whole world to know about. Don't do something that you wouldn't want to tell your parents about, or that you wouldn't want a memo about it posted on the school bulletin board.
Have a great day! :)
P.S. Tomorrow, I will draw the winners of the giveaways! :)
So I took a Lord of the Rings quiz and a Narnia quiz! They were really fun and I'm happy with my results.
I got...
Gandalf the Grey! :) He is pretty awesome. And Legolas came is second! Yes! I LOVE Legolas! :D I mean, he's an elf, his weapon is a bow and arrow (my favorite) and he's pretty cute. :)
Also...
I'm Lucy Pevensie! Yeah! :D She is probably my favorite Narnia character! :) And Aslan came in second! Interesting...
Who are you? Click here for the LOTR one and here for the Narnia one. I would love to know!
1. Allegiant comes out today! :D Gahh! And I haven't even read Insurgent yet!
2. In one month Catching Fire will be playing! :D Finally! It's been like a year and a half's worth of waiting!? I seriously have forgotten the story line it has been so long. I'm going to have to re-watch the first one. :P My friends and I are planning on seeing Catching Fire together in theaters.
(Speaking of movies, there are a ton of awesome movies that I want to see that are coming out! Thor, The Hobbit Part 2, Free Birds, Frozen...)
3. I made a wish list on americangirl.com since their 2013 Holiday catalog just came in the mail. It was weird getting the catalog since I haven't bought anything from AG in a while nor have my dolls moved from their post in my room. They are collecting dust and that makes me sad. But I have no time to take pictures of them anymore like I used to. I honestly feel too old to be still "playing" with dolls, at least that's what my sisters say. :P I don't know. My desire to collect them and keep them until I can pass them on to my kids/grandkids is fading away. But that's a long time to keep them. Sigh. I don't know what to do. :P
On another note, Molly and Emily and being retired! It's too bad because I like Emily and have wanted her for awhile now. I also really want Caroline. But GOTY 2014 is almost here! :) And there is going to be a store in San Francisco in November! :) I'm glad since L.A. is too far away. Maybe I'll be able to go to the grand opening? *Hint, hint mom*
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
~ Colossians 3:23-24 ~
Do you ever feel under appreciated? Do you ever study for a test, still get a bad grade, and then have others not believe you that you studied at all? Or maybe do something nice for someone, only to have them not even notice? When those things happen it's easy to become disgorged. It's easy to feel like no one notices you or believes you, but God does. God knows whether you studied or not, He knows the things you do for others, and all of the effort you put into them.
So on the other side of this; do you ever do somethings because you have to? Do you ever just do the bare minimum, just so that it is done? Like when you have to wash the dishes or put away your clothes. (That's me!) Or even do that homework project that you really don't want to do... God knows that too. He knows, and His word says that you should do everything, whatever you do, as if you were doing it for Him. You should put all of your heart into it, so that it is pleasing to Him. Don't do it for your friends or other people, but do it to please God. After all it is the Lord Jesus Christ that you are serving, and everything we do should be done so that it is pleasing to Him.
Reflection: Do you ever do things half-way? Do you ever put something off because it isn't something that you really want to do?
Application step: As you go about that day today, focus on doing things the best you can! Don't do it because you have to, or to please others, but because you know that it pleases God.

My choir got to sing in my church today! I had a great time; it was so much fun! :) There are some songs that we sang for the worship part of the service that I really loved. I'm sure you'll love them too.

Ugh. I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. I'm sorry I missed Sunday Devotionals two weeks in a row. I'm sorry my posts have been just short stories and Made to Inspire's. But you guys seems to like them - a lot, thank you so much :) - and I like them too, but I wish I could blog more often. Sigh. I guess I could tell you more about my life, but I'm too lazy.
I don't know how I'm going to do NaNoWriMo this year. Haha. I'm going to try to finish continue my story called Drama about Miranda. Is anyone else up for the challenge? :)
When I was bored I made this collage. Yup.
Isn't this picture just awesome? :D It practically screams a story.
So, yeah. I guess that's all I wanted to say. Thanks for putting up with me and my weirdness and being awesome blossom friends and followers. :) On the bright side: I have a giveaway scheduled! :D So, stay tuned for that...
