Interview with Kelsi and My Life

So... hai. I'm back. Though I won't be for long. I'll just get right to the point: I need a blogging break. I've been having trouble trying to balance blogging and the rest of my life, so I'm going to take a little break for now. Maybe one or two weeks. I don't know. Thanks for understanding. :)

Ugh, I can't believe I didn't post about Halloween (I was a black cat) or the first day of November yet. Can you believe it is already November? November means Thanksgiving, yeah! :D Though it felt like Thanksgiving last night. Whenever my mom is gone on her yearly retreats, my dad always calls up my grandma to see if they are available to have us over for dinner. So last night, she made her signature mashed potatoes and gravy (they are the best!), home-made applesauce, corn, apple pie, and pork something rather. It seriously tasted like heaven. :D And  then, of course, after I had to burn it all off by playing Just Dance! (Best WII game ever!) :D

So, anyhoo... Kelsi, here is your interview!

1. What are your hobbies?
Reading, blogging, photography and hangin with friends

2. What do you like about my blog?
It’s what I love, I try to post things that I find encouraging. And my favorite photos I take

3. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Probably to make people happy, and to help them

4. Would you rather read or write?
How can I decide, they are both awesome

5. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I have no idea?!?!

5. Dog or cat?
Totally a dog person

7. City or country?
City, but I love the country too

8. What are you most looking forward to in life?
To what God has planned for my life

9. Favorite season?
Idk, all of them. I love each season as it comes

10. If you had 1 million dollars, what would you do with it?
I would help my mom get better and help those in need, and many other things. Do things I enjoy

Be sure to visit her blog here. :)

Thanks for reading - what's going on in your life right now? Have a great day!

Secrets {A Sunday Devotional}

Shhh.....!

There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms ail be proclaimed from the housetops.

~ Luke 12:2-3 ~

I don't know about you, but when I read those verses it just makes me stop and think: what have I said that I don't want others to know about. We need to remember these verses. We need to apply them to everything that comes out of our mouths. Maybe, if we don't want to shout it from the roof top we shouldn't say it at all.

You know how sometimes we say things (or write them in notes to our friends), and then someone wasn't supposed to hear it, comes and asks us about it. Maybe our mom and dad, or someone at school, and we are totally embarrassed or in trouble. It would have been much wiser not to say it in the first place. If we don't want others to know, we need to keep it to ourselves.

Secrets can be so fun and mysterious, but they are also a risk. Even if we trust our friends, they trust others too. I don't know if you have ever seen the movie Mean Girls, but it portraits that really well. She never meant to hurt anyone, but when it came out, she realized that she shouldn't have said nor done things that she didn't want others to know about.

We need to remember that. If we don't want it to be proclaimed from the housetops, then we need to not say it at all.

Reflection: Do you say or do things that you want to be kept a secret from others? Are they really important enough to be worth everyone else finding out?

Application step: As you go about your day today, don't do anything that you wouldn't want the whole world to know about. Don't do something that you wouldn't want to tell your parents about, or that you wouldn't want a memo about it posted on the school bulletin board.

Have a great day! :)
