I Was Tagged!

Anna and Sarah tagged me! It looks like a lot of fun! :)

1. If the main villain of your favorite book/movie/TV series showed up on your front doorstep, what would you do? (Explain who it is first...)

Oh, gosh. That would have to be Voldemort! Ahh! If he showed up on front doorstep, I would seriously freak out because I would be both a bit scared (just a bit), but also curious. So I would probably peek out from the door and like talk to him I guess. Or pretend I have a wand and (dramatically) say a curse.  :D

2. Now supposing the heroes opposite this villain showed up just after your exchange. What would you do then?

Ooo! I would be so excited! I would probably go out and hug Harry, Hermione, and Ron and tell them how awesome they are and that Volde - Oops! I mean... He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had been here a few minutes before and if I could come with them to help fight. :D

3. So... moving on, the heroes defeat the villain (with some help from you, of course - whatever it may be. ;) But the next day, you're just walking along, minding your own business, when you suddenly come across the same villain... who is now lying in the dust severely wounded and unconscious. What do you do?

Hmm, I would probably be like "Ahh!" and then "Ugh!" and then call on Harry & Co. to finish him off. Because he's You-Know-Who!

4. Now his minions show up and kidnap both you and him and take you to their universe (or version of your universe, whatever it happens to be.) Your reaction?

So that would be like the Malfoy's (including Bellatrix) and the rest of the Death Eaters? <shiver> That would be scary. Especially Bellatrix. I would definitely be freaked out and scared. "Help me, Dumbledore!"

5. Your fantastic heroes have arrived to rescue you - but now you're faced with a choice. The villain, out of gratitude for your earlier help, (assuming you actually did help him when he was wounded) has offered you a chance to travel back to your own universe. However, the heroes warn you not to trust him. The only way for you to get back home is to travel with the heroes on a long and dangerous journey... and there's no guarantee that you'll survive. What. Do. You. Do.

Yay! I get rescued! :D Well, I would have to say without a doubt that I would LOVE to journey home with Harry & Crew. That would be SO COOL! :D We could visit Hogwarts along the way and Diagon Alley and the Burrow... <3

Five Years Of Journals

For five years, I've been keeping five journals. One for every year. I love looking back on what I've written and what was going on in my life then.

My first journal (the bottom one) was when I was in 4th grade and 11 years old. I wrote in it from 2008 to 2009. What I wrote is hilarious! :D I was so young then and there are so many empty pages.

My second journal (the green one) started in August 2009. It ended in January 2010. So that one wasn't filled that much either. What makes this journal special is that my old friend Madison gave it to me for my birthday. What I wrote is all in cursive so it's kind of hard to read since I was only 12. Lots of good memories that I remember from that year were written down. :)

My third journal (the small one) started in December 2010. This is the only one that got completely filled and I wrote in for exactly a year! I love this journal.

I started writing in my fourth journal (the red one) a day after I finished my third. It was almost 2012 and I was 14 years old. I got about halfway through it when I stopped around April or May. This is when I started blogging so I didn't write in any journals until January 2013.

The top one is my fifth journal. I started out strong. I wrote everyday about the good things that had happened and the bad. But then, I got a new blog. A private blog called Jessica's Journal so I didn't write in this one anymore because I had an online one. But then, I stopped blogging on Jessica's Journal in June. I had Whispers of the Wind and Six Faraway Friends to tend to.

Now, my blogs are my journals. Real-life ones for me are just to hard to keep up with and I forget. I may not ever write in a real-life journal again, but I don't need to. I have my blogs. They work better for me and are so much more fun because I have you guys! :)

Do you have any journals or diaries you like to write in?

My Photography: Bloopers

As a photographer, there are going to be bloopers. Lots of bloopers! :D Most of the time, bloopers are annoying to deal with. "If only I had done this or that had not happened, then this would have been the perfect shot!" :P But sometimes, bloopers can be funny to look through. Like these! :)

It's either really bright outside or there is something in my eye.

"I feel pretty, oh so pretty! I feel pretty, and witty, and bright!"

Jump for joy!

Apparently, I'm pulling an invisible rope...

and pushing an invisible object.

Okay, now this one is just plain weird. And out of focus.

Skipidee do da! Skipidee day... and I'm not facing the camera.

?

"Servant girl, come quick! I need a glass of water to quench my thirst!"

"Peace out, bro!" Swag.

"It's okay tree, I'm here for you!"

"Oh, please!" <blushes> "You're too kind!"

Erica, how did your head get there?

Others {A Sunday Devotional}

Never judge a book by the cover

"Let not your be the external adorning with elaborate interweaving and knotting of the hair, the wearing of jewelry, or change of clothes."

~ 1 Peter 3:3 ~

Have you ever noticed how a really attractive person, once you get to know them, can become extremely unattractive if they have a nasty personality? And like wise, someone who is not very attractive externally can become the most beautiful person you know, simply because of their beautiful personality. God knows that true inner beauty is far more important than merely having great looks and a perfect body.

If you carry on reading this scripture, The Holy Spirit, though Peter, tells us that we must be more occupied with "the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." God thinks you're beautiful because He can see the true inner beauty of your heart! Try and let everyone else around you see it too!

We have all heard the saying "Never judge a book by its cover," but how many times do we judge people merely based on what they look like? The Bible tells us that we are to strive to be like God. We need to be sure that we aren't judging others based on their appearance, just as we don't want to be. We need to look for the inner beauty in others. Remember, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)!

Reflection: Who have you judged unfairly based on their external appearance?

Application step: As you go about your day today, make an effort not to judge others by their external appearance. Try and look at who they are on the inside instead of out.
